In its pursoot to provide a simple way for its consumers to navigate on the web and on their smartphones, Google has unveiled a new cross-service device. Google introduced yesterday Chrome for Android Beta. This allows users to sync their Google Chrome web browser activity onto their Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone or tablet seamlessly.
Google Chrome is the 3rd most (14.70%) used web browser worldwide but has no significant usage share of mobile browsers. This makes Chrome the 3rd overall (22.13%) most used browser (mobile+web) over the past year behind Internet Explorer (sigh) and Firefox [StatCounter]. Google hopes to change that now. It is attacking the mobile browser user market.
