PURSOOT OF THE MONTH: Volkswagen’s “The Bark Side” Campaign

In its pursoot to re-up on last year’s success, Volkswagen has brought back its Star Wars-themed commercial. Last year, Volkswagen had managed to make their video “The Force” the most successful marketing story of the Super Bowl. The commercial has been seen almost 50M times by now!!! This year, it’s entitled “The Bark Side” and it features a group of dog barking the iconic Star Wars song. The single commercial, which is a preview of the Super Bowl commercial, has already been seen more than 10M times on YouTube in the span of a week. Fans have also been encouraged to upload footage of their dogs reacting at the sight of the commercial to multiply the viewership and to increase social buzz.
